Mission Statement

1. Advocate for and support graduate students by promoting inclusive learning and networking opportunities that foster success in academics, leadership, and professional advancement.
2. Represent graduate students at the university level via University Committees, within the USM, and to the broader community.

Top Priorities

1. Represent the perspective of graduate students and advocate on their behalf:

• On university committees and within each college to ensure the needs of graduate students are understood and acknowledged.
• At the USMSC to allow for collaboration among system schools/programs and to address common graduate student issues.

2. Support the academic and professional success of graduate students by:

• Facilitating workshops related to professional development.
• Circulating relevant information and opportunities.
• Encouraging cross-program and cross-cultural collaborations among students.

3. Collaborate with various departments and organizations on campus to promote graduate studies at Towson University including:

• International students and other underrepresented groups.
